Found a few razors and blades that fit me great. After that I tried just about everything out there, excepting a few exotic ones. Heh, I was glad to have tried another version. Maybe 4-5 months after that I ran into a much later model, bought it cheap I'm sure, and man.it was night and day. That E about kilt me!!! Back then there wasn't much said about injectors so I just figured they weren't for me. I finally said the hell with it and gave up. Awful razor burn all over my face and the shave itself wasn't pleasant. Used that set up over a week and it was nasty. Also went to another place to buy the German Schicks, which were the only version at that time and sold in lots of places. Years ago I saw an E type injector in a store and bought it. They are actually a good blade with the nice, easy to load metal dispenser. Just a few things floating to the surface.įirst, I found that of the 6-8 modern blades tried, the Chinese Schicks worked best for me. I would go as far to say its a different animal.I had my first shaving experience with Schick G Type just the other day with the Chinese Schick Injector Blade and again it did indeed feel like a milder smoother shaver.Īs Paul said.As you move through the manufacturing timeline Schick moved towards producing milder razors. I have found this to be true.I have also found that the Type G in particular performs far smoother with Vintage Injector Blades. There seems to be general consensus by Older Generational Schick Injector users that Vintage Injector Blades that were being manufacture at the same time as the razors were the " DOGS B.CKS and Modern Injector Blades are just not the same.

I have learned a great deal from (Dodgy) Martin recently about the efficacy of Vintage Schick Injector Blades that made me curious. But personally I don't find them as smooth. The thing that constantly puts a smile on my face is how smooth the earlier models are compared to the later ones. For me anyway the G Types are a tad rougher than the earlier types and I have a few of them.BUT.:s In addition, I have found through blade experimentation that the right blade combinations in a Schick Injector make a huge difference.I find that the Type G is a far more smoother shaver with Chinese made Schick injector blades. Some people say that they both give the same end result.I would have to disagree with that. These are both great BBS shavers but for me the E Types are by far the smoothest shavers and offer a closer BBS result with less effort that is difficult to describe. Ī lot of people prefer the Type G type injectors as they are easier to use and far more forgiving than the E Types. :icon_razz:įor me all my E Types are more dangerous for sure, but smoother shavers than the G Types. In addition, One of my Canadian type Es' is far more aggressive than the other one as it has even more blade exposure. Its a beasty. I have two Canadian Type E Schick Injectors and there seems to be general consensus that these are the most aggressive of all the E Types.:icon_rolleyes:įor me these are both decidedly more aggressive/dangerous than any of the USA made E Type injectors by a wide margin. They have a wider blade gap and more blade exposure than the USA Models. I have an grooved Comb E type 3 and I find it has similar shaving characteristic's to the E Type 2.Really smooth two pass BBS shaving tool. These are really smooth and comfortable shavers.:icon_rolleyes: I do find them to be a tad more dangerous as there is more blade exposure in the Type Es' compared to the Type G and that for me makes them a very efficient two pass shaving tool. The latter is an E Type 2 1941.Ĭontrary to popular opinion, I find that both my E Type 2s to be a far smoother shavers than the any of my Type G models. One opens for cleaning and the other doesn't. I have a couple of Smooth Comb E Type 2 models. There seems to be a broad consensus that the E Type Schick Injectors are more aggressive than the G Type's. I have a number of the Older type E and G Type Schick Injectors.
